The Fortuguese Government received from the Governor of liacau a telegram to the effect that the situation is becoming more serious, The garrisons of adjoining territories of Chin-Shan and Lapa have been considerably reinforced; four gun-boats and three thousand men with four guns have arrived and further troops are expected.
The Governor of Macau urges the necessity of Mis Majesty's Goverment's assistance.
